Jo Harding

Role: Leeds Place Nurse Lead

Jo qualified as a registered nurse in 1992 and subsequently as a registered health visitor, practising clinically in Leeds and York. She strategically and operationally managed a full range of acute and community-based services for 15 years across North Yorkshire and York.

Jo joined NHS Leeds West CCG in 2015 and continued her role as Director of Quality and Safety for NHS Leeds CCG, following the merging of the Leeds CCGs in 2018.

Jo has a Master’s Degree in Leading,  Innovation and Change. She seeks to develop and encourage effective leadership at every level of the healthcare system. She is passionate about improving the quality of services for the residents of Leeds, with an emphasis on transforming the whole NHS system to a model of high quality integrated health and social care.

In her spare time, Jo keeps herself busy with her seven step-grandchildren and carer responsibilities. She also enjoys cooking, reading and chairing the local social committee, designing an annual programme of family events.
